Your Advisor

Hi, I’m Drew.

I’m an independent health insurance advisor — not a call center, and not tied to a single insurance company. I got into this after watching people I know overpay for coverage they didn’t understand, or skip it because shopping felt like a headache.

So I keep it simple: I learn your situation, explain your options in clear terms, and help you choose what fits. Then I stay on as your advisor for as long as you have the policy.

“My job is to make sure your budget, your health, and your assets are protected — and to be the person you can actually call when something changes.”

Why Now

You don’t buy a fire extinguisher after the fire starts.

Almost nobody wants health insurance until something happens. Then they want it right away — and that’s the hardest time to get it.

Healthy, until you’re not.

Most people feel fine right up until a diagnosis, an injury or a scare changes things.

Safe, until a freak accident.

A fall, a wreck or a sudden ER visit doesn’t wait for a good time.

Small premium, big bill.

A low monthly premium can feel optional. A hospital bill with nothing behind it can mean years of debt.

People tell me coverage is out of their budget, and sometimes it truly is. A lot of the time it isn’t, and they only find that out from a hospital bed. Waiting can also narrow your options: private plans look at your health, and Marketplace plans have enrollment windows.

I’m not saying this to scare anyone. I’d just rather you hear it from me now than learn it the hard way.

What decides your price

  • Your age
  • Your state
  • Your health
  • Tobacco use
  • The deductible you pick
  • Household income (Marketplace plans)

Everyone’s different, so I’ll show you your actual numbers in about a minute — not a guess.

Know Your Options

There’s a second option most people never hear about.

Everyone’s heard of the Marketplace. Far fewer people know about private, health-based plans. If you’re relatively healthy and don’t qualify for assistance, private plans often come with better rates and better coverage — built around you and your family, not one-size-fits-all.

Public · Marketplace (ACA)

Marketplace plans

One-size-fits-all: the same standard plan designs for everyone, not custom-built. Often the better deal when your income qualifies you for big tax credits.

  • Based on household income & size
  • Health history doesn’t affect eligibility
  • Enroll during open enrollment or after a qualifying life event

Could a private plan fit you?

  • You’re in pretty good health
  • You don’t qualify for much assistance — or any
  • You’re self-employed or run a small business
  • You want a wide network of doctors to choose from

Sound like you? You may get better coverage for less. Find out in about a minute.

See if you qualify

Not sure which way to go? I’ll compare both for you, side by side, before you decide anything.

How It Works

Three simple steps.

1

Tell me about you

Request a quote or book a time. A few basics is all I need — no long interrogation.

2

I compare your options

Marketplace and private plans, across multiple carriers, laid out side by side in plain English.

3

You choose, I stay on

I help you enroll, then stay your advisor for as long as you have the policy — not just for the sale.

Common Questions

Good to know before you reach out.

Will I get a bunch of calls from other agents?
No. When you reach out here, you’re working with me directly — not a pool of agents bidding on your information. I don’t sell or share your contact info with other agents, brokers, or call centers, and every follow-up comes from me.
Do I have to go through the Marketplace?
No. The Marketplace is one option, not the only one. Depending on your income and health, a private, health-based plan might fit better. I’ll walk through both before you decide.
Will a medically underwritten private plan work for me?
It depends on your health history — eligibility and rates for these plans are based on your medical background, and availability varies by state. Not everyone qualifies. I’ll help you figure out whether it’s worth exploring.
What does this cost me?
Nothing extra. Like most licensed agents, I’m paid by the insurance carrier you enroll with, not by you. Comparing your options costs you nothing.
Can I deduct my health insurance if I’m self-employed?
Possibly. Depending on your situation and how your coverage is set up, your premiums may have tax implications or a potential deduction — but it isn’t guaranteed. I’ll flag where it may apply; please confirm with a qualified tax professional before you file.
When can I enroll?
Marketplace open enrollment runs on a set schedule each year, and certain life events (a job change, marriage, a new baby) can open a special enrollment period. Private, health-based plans can often be applied for year-round, subject to underwriting. I can tell you where you stand today.
What happens after I request a quote?
I’ll reach out using the contact info you give me to set up a time to talk — no auto-dialed calls, no spam. Prefer to pick a time yourself? There’s a calendar link on the quote page.
What do you do with my information?
I use it to look into your options and get back to you — that’s it. It isn’t sold or handed off to other agents or call centers.
